Our Story

Chez Adele is a vibrant and innovative restaurant located on the Northside of Chicago, founded by Bart Kabore in 2025. The idea for Chez Adele was born during Bart’s time completing his master’s degree when he was inspired by his mother’s cooking. His parents frequently visited, and his mom would often be found in the kitchen, preparing traditional meals. Bart wanted to help, stepping into the kitchen to take the lead in cooking. This ignited his deep passion for food and the magic of creating delicious dishes, and his interest in hospitality grew as he traveled the world for the United Nations. Bart had the privilege of experiencing diverse cuisines and unique styles of hospitality, which ultimately led him to the realization that food, while universal, can be a powerful bridge between cultures.

Chez Adele represents the culmination of Bart’s journey in the food industry and his appreciation for cultural diversity. The restaurant stands out by offering a fresh and exciting take on smash burgers, blending American, African, and other cultural culinary influences to create a unique dining experience.
